CFC Essay Contest -- Tell Us Your Story

Many federal employees and their families have received assistance from CFC-supported charities.

If you or your family have benefitted from a CFC charity, this is an excellent opportunity to share your story.

TOPIC:

"How CFC Has Helped Me"

The essay should describe how a CFC sponsored charity such as Boy or Girl Scouts, American Cancer Society, Diabetes Foundation, Humane Society, etc., has benefitted you or your family.

JUDGING: Each essay will be judged on sincerity and how well it describes how CFC helped you.

RULES:

Aca,!Ac Only one entry per federal government employee.

Aca,!Ac Entry must include a cover sheet including your name, agency and contact information. Entrant's information should not be included on the entry itself, only on the cover sheet.

Aca,!Ac Essays will be judged by the Illowa Bi-State CFC essay committee.

Aca,!Ac Essays must be no longer than 500 words and must be typewritten and double-spaced.

Aca,!Ac Entry must be received by close of business July 23.

Aca,!Ac Entry must be submitted by e-mail to <a href="mailto:rebecca.montgomery1@us.army.mil" target="_blank">rebecca.montgomery1@us.army.mil</a>.

Aca,!Ac Entries must be original, non-published works that do not infringe on any third party rights. Submitted essays will become property of Illowa Bi-State CFC and may be published.

PRIZES: All entrants will receive certificates of participation.

First, second and third place winners be announced Aug. 9 and contest results will be posted on the Illowa Bi-State CFC website <a href="http://illowacfc.org/" target="_blank">http://illowacfc.org/</a>.

Winners will be invited to read their essays at Illowa Bi-State CFC events.
