99th RSC gives check to Vermont Governor for AFRC
Governor Jim Douglas of Vermont (left) and Mr. Chuck Wooster, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, Hartford, Vermont, (right) receives a check from Gary Puryear, Base Transition Coordinator, 99th Regional Support Command (center) which signifies the start of the $19,427,202, 51,000 square feet, Armed Forces Reserve Center that will be the new home for local Army Reserve and Vermont Army National Guard Soldiers. The AFRC is currently schedule to be ready for occupancy in March 2011 and will replace existing Army Reserve Centers in Chester and Berlin Vermont along with current Army National Guard Armories in Ludlow, North Springfield and Windsor, Vermont (US Army photo - Maj.
