<p>The Buddy-to-Buddy Volunteer Veteran Program trains Michigan vets to help OEF/OIF veterans adjust to life outside the military community. From family concerns to financial struggles to emotional challenges, trained Buddy-to-Buddy volunteer vets are there to listen and to help OEF/OIF veterans. <h4>Michigan Military Family Relief Fund</h4>

<h4>Michigan National Guard Family Fund</h4>

<h4>Military Spouse Residency Relief Act</h4>

<p>On November 11, 2009, the President signed into law the Military Spouse Residency Relief Act. This Act, among other things, provides that when a service member leaves his or her home State in accord with military or naval orders, the service member's spouse may retain residency in his or her home State for voting and tax purposes, after relocating from that State to accompany the service member. In the State of Michigan an exemption from Michigan withholding tax may be claimed if an employees spouse is a member of the US Armed Services and their state of legal residence is not Michigan. <h4>Project Blue Star</h4>

<p>Project Blue Star is MichiganAca,!a,,cs effort to assist Families of Michigan Soldiers serving overseas. Organizations can register on line and identify the services they are able to provide. Families can search for services by county and be matched with volunteer organizations. <h4>VetBizCentral</h4>

<p>VetBizCentral serves veterans, members of the National Guard and Army Reserve, active duty military personnel and veterans' surviving spouses throughout Michigan.
