The Integrated Air & Missile Defense exercise focused mainly on the tactical and operator level with participants from the Dutch Ground Based Air Defense Command, the Competence Centre for Surface Based Air and Missile Defense, the Royal Netherlands Navy, the German Air Force, the German Navy, the Royal Danish Navy, and Norwegian observers.

The purpose of the exercise was to train operators within a realistic scenario covering all aspects of multinational Air and Missile Defense in a current timeframe as well as enhance interoperability and broaden cooperation between weapon systems and personnel from across the European theater in a

joint Air and Missile Defense Task Force.

The joint missile defense crews came together to fight through a series of simulations in which they successfully defended their assigned assets against threats from tactical ballistic missiles and enemy aircraft. This allowed each entity to solidify their standard operating procedures in an environment that includes a variety of air defense systems.

Air defenders left the exercise with a new understanding of their allies' tactics, techniques, and procedures and how and procedures and how they will come together to build a "Strong Europe".
