WASHINGTON (Feb. 10, 2016) -- His Excellency the Right Honorable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, Maj. Gen. Bradley A. Becker, U.S. Army Military District of Washington commanding general, and U.S. Air Force Gen. Paul J. Selva, Vice Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery, Va., Feb.10, 2016.
Following the wreath laying ceremony, His Excellency and his wife laid another wreath at the Canadian Cross of Sacrifice monument in honor of the bonds of goodwill and friendship that the U.S. and Canada share.
The memorial is dedicated to honor citizens of the U.S. who served in the Canadian Armed Forces and gave their lives in World Wars I and II, and the Korean War.
