ANSBACH, Germany (May 26, 2015) -- Once a year U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach rallies support around those who have served the country in years past and enjoy their retirement in the local area.
This year the event took place at the Von Steuben Community Center at Bismarck Kaserne Thursday.
There community support services assembled and displayed their information and advised their customers.
After a welcome by Gilbert Clarke, president of the local retiree council, and Col. Christopher M. Benson, USAG Ansbach commander, retired Col. Robert Mentell briefed the assembly. He focused on upcoming changes and other information pertaining specifically to retirees and their spouses, and introduced the "Soldier for Life" program.
