On Thursday, April 23, Leaders from across the Fort Drum MEDDAC visited the Fort Drum SHARP Resource Center to learn more about the services provided and how they can help a victim of sexual assault. Col. Matthew Mattner, Fort Drum MEDDAC Commander, spoke to the staff as they toured the facility and talked to them about the importance of knowing what resources are available.

"It is important that our leaders know what resources are available and how to access those resources," Mattner said. "The SHARP Resource Center is still relatively new and although it's been publicized there are people that don't know where the center is and what services are available."

The tour was in conjunction with Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention month.
