Exercise Saber Junction 15 to prepare 17 nations in offensive, defensive operations

GRAFENWOEHR, Germany (March 4, 2015) -- More than 4,700 participants from 17 nations will participate in Exercise Saber Junction 15 at the Army's Hohenfels Training Area in southeastern Germany, April 1-31.

Participating countries include Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Sweden, and the United States.

Saber Junction 15 prepares NATO and partner-nation armies for offensive, defensive and stability operations and promotes interoperability among participants.

The first phase of Saber Junction 15 will include a deployment readiness exercise and airborne operations into Romania. The exercise will then move to the Hohenfels Training Area.

Media day will be April 15. Media will have the opportunity to observe training and speak with soldiers and distinguished visitors.
