ANSBACH, Germany (Jan. 23, 2015) -- Force protection is a constant priority and a cooperative effort, and U.S. Army Europe and Installation Management Command Europe agencies, including U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach, continually work together to review their force protection measures and ensure they are appropriate for the conditions and threat assessment.

For security reasons, the guest sign-in procedure at all U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach access control points is changing effective immediately.

Until further notice, the guest's identification document will remain at the access control point for the duration of the stay at the installation.

The guest or guests will be issued a receipt for the identification document, (passport or national identification card), from the security officer conducting the sign-in. The guest must return the receipt at time of departure for retrieval of the document.

As a reminder, a sponsor must escort guests at all times while on the installation and must not exceed 24 hours without having the guests sign in again at the access control point.

If traveling between installations, ensure the guest is signed out and receives their passport prior to leaving post. This receipt is only good for the original installation.
