Contracting NCOs inducted into Sergeant Audie Murphy Club

Two 923rd Contingency Contracting Battalion, Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, noncommissioned officers were inducted into the TACOM Life Cycle Management Command Sergeant Audie Murphy Club December 4th.

Staff Sergeants Aaron Kopecky and Darrin Meyer were awarded the SAMC neck medallion and certificate during an induction ceremony presided over by the Maj. Gen. Gwen Bingham, TACOM LCMC commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. Karl Schmitt, TACOM LCMC.

Kopecky and Meyer also received Army Commendation Medals in recognition of their achievement. The two NCOs were selected from a group of four candidates.

According to the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Website, the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club is a private Army organization for NCOs whose leadership achievements and performance merit special recognition of membership.
