The Army Contracting Command-Warren, Michigan, hosted its first Industry Engagement Session at Selfridge Air National Guard Base Nov, 21.

Kenneth Bousquet, ACC-Warren acting executive director and John Jolokai, ACC-Warren director of Combat Support Contracting, hosted the event attended by more than 40 industry members representing 28 companies from five states.

According to Bousquet, the purpose of the session is to provide a forum for ACC-Warren personnel to meet with industry members, disseminate information, exchange feedback, and build rapport. Future sessions will have a scheduled topic presented by ACC-Warren personnel followed by time for questions and answers.

During the inaugural session, attendees received an hour-long presentation on the contracting process by Vito Zuccaro, chief, Force Projection/Tools/Tactical/MRAP Contracting Division and his deputy, Lt. Col. Reginald Martin. The briefing was followed by a question and answer session between ACC-Warren key personnel and industry partners.

Dialogue throughout the day generated additional topics such as source selections, award timelines, lowest price technically acceptable standards, and leveraging small business resources.

The next session is scheduled for January with cost and pricing data as the tentative presentation topic.
