PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- A U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command chief warrant officer retired recently with 25 years of service.

Chief Warrant Officer Four Santiago G. Gonzalez, a missile warning officer with the command's 1st Space Brigade, retired during a ceremony at the Peterson Air Force Base Club Aug. 8.

During the ceremony Gonzalez received the Legion of Merit, two American flags, a letter from the governor of New Mexico along with a state flag, a certificate of appreciation, a three-star note, and a certificate of retirement and pin.
