It's now easier than ever for TRICARE patients across the island of Oahu to securely access their lab results, x-ray findings, and refill information for medication.

TRICARE Online features the "blue button" which allows beneficiaries to obtain their personal health information at the click of a button.

Capt. Preston Reed, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Flight Commander for the 15th Med Group says placing patients in the driver's seat of their own health is now a simple process. "The blue button is great because it's a self-service that allows the beneficiary to be more engaged in their own health care," he said.

Reed says this is especially important given the transient nature of military patients. "It's a good thing because it allows for a continuous record of treatment received at any military treatment facility."

Capt. Salema Coaxum, Deputy Chief of Business Operations and eMulti-Service Marketing Office at Tripler Army Medical Center says the blue button will help patients cut down on traffic and parking battles when health information for the entire family can be conveniently accessed from the comfort of home.

"As a military spouse you can see your personal radiology results and your children's results if they are under the age of eighteen. You can also see any results that are still pending and any requests that were made by your provider," said Coaxum.
