  • FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Commanders and first sergeants from the Warrior Transition Battalion, along with senior leaders from various commands at Fort Sam Houston, serve a Thanksgiving meal to wounded warriors and their families Nov. 20 in the courtyard of the Warrior and Family Support Center. The annual event was hosted by the WTB and WFSC. Maj. Joshua Daily, executive officer for the WTB, said more than 460 people were served. The thanksgiving meal this year was turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin and pecan pie.

William O'Neal II, senior enlisted leader for U.S. Army Dental Command, places a roll on a Soldier's plate during a Thanksgiving meal served Nov. 20 at the Warrior and Family Support Center. Volunteers cooked 46 turkeys, hams and other holiday delicacies through the night to prepare for the event. The event was hosted by the Warrior Transition Battalion and the WFSC, and senior leaders from the WTB and various commands at Fort Sam Houston helped serve the meal.
