WASHINGTON (Nov. 7, 2013) --The Joint Force Headquarters -- National Capital Region/ U.S. Army Military District of Washington Operations Branch hosted a dual ceremony in honor of the promotion of Cpt. (P) James Johnson III, JFHQ-NCR/MDW J33 operations officer, and to say farewell to Spc. Brandon C. Scott, JFHQ-NCR/MDW J3 tasking specialist. The ceremony was hosted by Col. Burton K. Shields, JFHQ-NCR/MDW J3 operations officer and held at Fort Lesley J. McNair.

Johnson is from Richmond, Va., and graduated from the University of Virginia. He began his career as an enlisted infantryman in the 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and has served in Germany and Iraq.

Scott is leaving the Army to pursue higher education in Colorado and hopes to join the ROTC program and study physiology. Scott hails from Texas and enlisted in the infantry in 2007. While stationed at Fort McNair, he supported Hurricane Sandy operations.
