Augustus Maiyo, with the U.S. Army team, was the first runner to cross the finish line during the 37th Marine Corps Marathon, Oct. 28, 2012, with a time of 2 hours, 20 minutes, 20 seconds. The 37th MCM is the first marathon Maiyo has run. Maiyo is assigned to the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program at Fort Carson, Colo. He finished second in the Army Ten Miler, Oct. 21, 2012, with a time of 47 minutes, 54 seconds.
