Free toilets in Toruń's Old Town
Over 50 businesses are participating in the Free Toilet program. Free toilets in Toruń's Old Town have been added to popular mobile apps. Public toilets are also available in various locations throughout the city.
Tourists and residents can now more easily find free restroom facilities in Toruń's Old Town. The Toruń City Center Office has added program partner addresses to the global "Toilet Finder" and "Where is Public Toilet" apps. These are among the most popular tools of their kind in the world, with millions of downloads on Google Play and the App Store and databases covering hundreds of thousands of locations.
The Free Toilet program is implemented by the Toruń City Center Office in collaboration with restaurant owners operating in the Old Town. Its primary goal is to provide easy access to free toilets for both residents and tourists visiting the city. Guests can use the facilities without having to make a purchase or use the services of the establishment.
This solution is particularly appreciated by families with children, seniors, and tourists visiting Toruń's historic center. The availability of free restrooms significantly increases the comfort of your stay in the Old Town and contributes to a positive visitor experience.
The program also brings tangible benefits to businesses. Business owners who provide restrooms receive a 15% discount on the rental fee for outdoor dining areas. An additional 15% discount is available for introducing natural greenery into their outdoor spaces. This initiative not only supports the availability of services but also improves the aesthetics of public spaces.
Free Toilets also aligns with the city's efforts to build a welcoming and modern urban environment. The use of popular mobile apps makes information about accessible restrooms easily accessible to users from Poland and abroad. This is another element reinforcing Toruń's image as an open, hospitable, and tourist-friendly city.
The program is an example of the practical use of modern technologies to improve the quality of life of residents and raise the standards of tourist services in one of the most important areas of the city.

Explore famous parks in the region of Zagan.

The "Green Paradise" mobile app. It includes Brody, Zatonie, and Żagań.
The "Zielone Raje" mobile app was developed by the European Association of Lusatian Parks. It's easy to download and free. The initial tabs for some parks warn that internet access may be poor in the area, so you can download the content before your trip and use it offline. It includes videos, photos, and essential information, such as opening hours, directions, and parking. And above all, a guide explains the location. When you choose Prince's Park in Zielona Góra Zatonie, a calm male voice narrates the location.
"It's one of Zielona Góra's favorite weekend destinations. And no wonder. Walking along the renovated paths of the 52-hectare landscape park is truly relaxing. The park's history dates back to the 17th century, when the Baroque manor house was built – and so begins the story of Zatonie."
The park's location bookmarks also include a game called "Assign Details," where you can drag and drop elements like the frog pillar, clock, or fountain to the right spot. The authors recommend visiting the Rose Temple after dark, for a stunning view of the illuminated palace ruins from the hill.
Beautiful parks on the German side. Kromlau Park
With the application you can go to Kromlau and learn the stories about the Devil's Bridge, but not only that, you can also visit, for example, the Intergenerational Recreation Park and many other places in the area.
The application allows you to explore nine places: the Palace Park in Żagań, the Prince's Park in Zatonie (Zielona Góra), Pückler Parks - Muskau Park in Bad Muskau/Łeknica and the Branitz Palace and Park, the East German Rose Garden Forst (Lausitz), the Kromlau Rhododendron Park, the Neschwitz Baroque Park and Palace, the Altdöbern Park and Castle, and the Palace Park in Brody.
– Orientation in the field is possible thanks to an interactive map, which marks numerous attractions in each park – we read in the application description.
The nine most outstanding gardens in Saxony, Brandenburg and the Lubusz Voivodeship combine 300 years of European garden art.
"We connect the gardens of Grand Duke Pückler, the world-famous Duchess Dorota of Żagań, the famous Count Brühl, and the proud residents of Forst. Established in 2010, the association has implemented numerous Polish-German cooperation projects, including historic site renovations, seminars, public events, and park maintenance activities," the Parks Association reports.
The "Zielone Raje" mobile app was created in cooperation with the Bremen InformationsGesellschaft mbH agency, co-financed by the European Union – the European Regional Development Fund, INTERREG VA 2014-2020 cooperation program, and from the City of Cottbus/Chóśebuz's own funds. The app is available for free download in Polish and German on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and can also be used offline.
It contains such interesting photos and detailed descriptions that it is worth using it at home, listening to and seeing all these places, and then visiting all the parks in person.
