FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Participants of Fort Bragg's Exceptional Family Members Program enjoyed a day at the Gillis Hill Farm Friday. Parents and children took an educational tour of the farm that included a short film about life on the farm, a puppet show set to the tune of Old MacDonald complete with real animals and a ride on a tractor pulled wagon around the grounds of the farm.
John Gillis, farmer and owner, answered the eager questions from all the children about farm life. After completing the tour, all the Families were treated to homemade ice cream that's made fresh at the farm.
The Exceptional Family Member Program on Fort Bragg is designed to provide comprehensive and coordinated medical, educational, housing, community support and personnel services to Families with special needs.
