All our U.S. Army Garrison Poland installations are currently secure, and we expect that to continue. We’ve had some minor impacts from flooding at some of our installations in the Świętoszów Military Community, but we’re working hand-in-hand with our Polish military counterparts to rectify any issues as they arise.
Our team continues to monitor the situation around all our posts, and we have ample food and water on hand.
The Public Health Command Europe Environmental Health Engineers recommend using bottled water or water from a verified potable source for all consumptive activities such as drinking, brushing teeth, food preparation, and medical services until the water distribution system has been tested and confirmed free of coliform and E. coli bacteria.
For showers and personal hygiene, water with a free available chlorine residual of 0.2 milligrams per liter is advised. In case of water system compromise, residents are encouraged to use bulk water containers, five-gallon jugs, or water buffalos with proper disinfection as an emergency supply.

All U.S. Army Garrison Poland installations are currently safe and secure. We continue monitor flooding hazards in southwest Poland and are working hand-in-hand with our Polish and U.S. mission partners.
“The safety of our personnel is our number one priority,” said Col. Jesse Chace, USAG Poland commander. “Our team is on ground continuously assessing the situation at all 11 of our sites.”
We recommend Soldiers and Civilians limit travel and adhere to civic authorities for local updates. The garrison will continue to keep you updated if there any changes.
