FORT NOVOSEL, Ala. -- The Fort Novosel Directorate of Public Safety conducted a 9/11 Moving Tribute Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Fire Station 1. After a brief ceremony, participants walked 2.33 miles to honor Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter, who gave his life while serving others on Sept. 11, 2001.
Fort Novosel and the local community will always remember and continue to honor our nations heroes that sacrificed their all on 9/11.
