SCRANTON, Pa. — The Joint Program Executive Office for Armaments and Ammunition, located at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., hosted the Honorable Douglas Bush, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) and Rep. Mike Rogers, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee on Monday at the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant in Scranton, Pa.

This visit is part of a broader effort to showcase JPEO A&A’s historic investments to strengthen the defense industrial base and rebuild the Arsenal of Democracy.

Scranton Army Ammunition Plant manufactures and ships large-caliber ammunition metal parts to be loaded, assembled, and packed at several facilities in the U.S. The metal parts produced at SCAAP range in size from 105mm to 155mm projectiles.

The JPEO is responsible for life-cycle acquisition management of all conventional ammunition, which includes integrating budgets, acquisition strategies, R&D and life-cycle management across all ammunition families.
