WHEELER ARMY AIRFIELD, Hawaii (May 12, 2023) — There will be 100% ID card checks at all Army-guarded installations on Oahu Thursday, May 18, from 5 a.m.-1 p.m. in advance of a traffic study to be conducted in June.

All vehicle occupants age 18 and up entering the installation will be required to provide proof of identification.

If heading to an Army installation May 18, motorists are advised to plan extra time for their commute. To assist with traffic flow, motorists should have ID cards ready for all passengers in their vehicle before they arrive at the checkpoint.

Visitors to the Army installations May 18 should get a pass in advance from a visitor control center. The Tripler Army Medical Center Visitor Control Center is open 24/7 and the Leilehua Golf Course Visitor Control Center is open weekdays, 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
