From 4 January 2022 through 11 February 2022, members of the 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, DRO Force Modernization Division in USARNG Armory in Charleston, SC, underwent a new equipment training due to an upgrade modification to the original Satellite Transportable Terminal configuration. PM Mission Network serves the Soldiers and Units with tactical communication equipment, while the FMD provides the expertise to employ, operate and maintain the equipment. In this instance, 7 Soldiers from the 218th MEB learned the changes of the MPM-1000 NCW Modem and were successful in deploying the 2.4M terminal for the Division and Battalion units. The Warfighter were successfully trained and demonstrated their capability to install, operate, and maintain their communication terminals.
