FORT KNOX, Ky. — Boys and Girls Clubs of America president and CEO Jim Clark stopped by the Devers Middle School and Teen Center Nov. 19 to see what leaders there have been doing to promote so much success.
Clark had paid a visit to U.S. Army Recruiting Command earlier in the day to conduct business with leaders there but wanted to pay a special visit to Devers in the afternoon. Fort Knox has been home to every Kentucky winner since the Military Youth of the Year program began in 2014 and has sent several winners to regionals and nationals.
Clark noted Devers’ accomplishments when he saw a wall filled with pictures of each Fort Knox winner and praised leaders for setting the example in building a winning program for the youth.
