By Julie KelemenOctober 1, 2021

The 597th Transportation Brigade bid farewell to U.S. Army Capt. Adam Puckett and welcomed Desmond Davis during a virtual hail and farewell ceremony at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. Sep. 30.

As the current operations, training and readiness officer at the operations section, Puckett developed training guidance and other products that enabled Army decision-makers to effectively support the U.S. Army’s ability to mobilize, deploy and sustain forces in large-scale combat operations. Prior to his assignment at the brigade headquarters, Puckett was a commander at the Rapid Port Opening Element.

Puckett's next assignment is at the U.S. Army Transportation School at Fort Lee, Va.

The headquarters staff also welcomed Desmond Davis from the 832nd Transportation Battalion. Davis's move from the subordinate unit is a lateral promotion with greater responsibilities, including
