FORT KNOX, Ky. – The annual Red Cross Sound the Alarm campaign is in full swing, and being offered in a unique way this year.

While usually conducted as a door-to-door call to action, the annual home fire safety sessions for 2021 are being offered virtually or by appointment.

Each year, the American Red Cross provides Families fire safety trainings promoting two-minute evacuations, and the importance of smoke alarms. In the state of Kentucky alone, the organization has created over 10,000 escape plans and helped install more than 20,000 smoke alarms since the campaign’s inception in 2014.

For more information about the campaign or to schedule an in-home appointment, visit www.redcross.org or call 1-833-431-0725.

Virtual sessions and appointments for the Sound the Alarm campaign will be ongoing through May 8.
