FORT KNOX, Ky. — Several runners from Fort Knox gathered in front of U.S. Army Cadet Command headquarters Nov. 9 to celebrate a pair of Army Ten-Miler third-place wins.

Both awards highlight the creativity of Directorate of Family and Morales, Welfare and Recreation officials in garnering participation in the annual run.

Due to COVID-19 travel and social distancing restrictions, DFMWR personnel established a safe run route on post for any who wanted to participate in the virtual race. As well, at least one headquarters element garnered additional support from subordinate units around the United States — U.S. Army Recruiting Command.

In the final tally, all the participation numbers added up to a win in the “Top Installation” and “Top Military Family” award categories.
