Fort Drum, New York - Sustainment Soldiers from the 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (MTN), Vermont National Guard received in-classroom and hands-on training for the Modular Fuel System Tank Rack Module and Sling Load operations. The training was instructed by Sgt. 1st Class Heng N. Dillard and Chief warrant officer two Terrance T. Avila from the 10th Sustainment Brigade Support Operations section Feb. 8, 2019, on Fort Drum.

The MFS performs both retail and bulk fueling operations, and is capable of receiving, storing, filtering and issuing all kerosene-based fuels.

The TRM can be used with the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) tankers or as a stand-alone system.

The TRM is scheduled for production and field of equipment for Fiscal Year 2020.

The 86th IBCT (MTN) is aligned with the 10th Mountain Division under the U.S. Army's Associated Unit Pilot program, a mutually beneficial partnership which enhances unit readiness and warfighting capabilities.
