USAG YONGSAN - July 26 marked the last day of the 2016 summer reading program at the U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan Library. The 2016 summer reading program took place June 18 - July 29. High school student Ty Hacking and Samuel Bae, a volunteer from Washington University, participated in the final activity by reading books and even teaching the children how to dance the Macarena. A total of 52 children and 39 parents attended the program finale.

According to Mr. Kim Son-chul, a Yongsan Library technician, the 2016 summer reading program was planned to teach kids that reading was not only for school or homework. He hoped the program would encourage kids to read even when school was not in session, and to familiarize the children with the library resources, services and the facilities.
