Gen. Robert B. Brown, commanding general, U.S. Army Pacific, and Gen Chan Ju Park, commanding general, 2nd Operational Command, Republic of Korea Army, met at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, July 6, to discuss ways to improve the effectiveness of the alliance between the Republic of Korea Army and U.S. Army Pacific. The generals share a common vision for support to phased operation on the Korean peninsula and signed a memorandum of understanding to promote future visits and coordination between the two armies.
