LIEPAJA, Latvia -- Equipment belonging to 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division continues to arrive in the port in Liepaja, Latvia on October 27, 2015.
Upon arrival at the port, the various tanks, cargo trucks, and Bradley fighting vehicles were loaded onto waiting trains to be transported to several bases throughout the Baltic region.
3rd Bn, 69th Ar. Regt. soldiers recently assumed the mission of U.S. Army Europe's regionally allocated force from the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), and will be spending their remaining weeks in Europe training alongside the Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian and Polish militaries.
3rd Bn, 69th Ar. Regt. will be participating in numerous training exercises in the Baltic region in the coming weeks, to include exercise Iron Sword which will be occuring in Lithuania in mid-November.
