EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (USASOC News Service, June 12, 2015) - Col. Christopher N. Riga will relinquish command of the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) to Col. Michael A. Ball during a 9 a.m. ceremony at the Group Parade Field on June 18.
Riga has commanded 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) since July 2013 and will move on to an assignment at the Office of Legislative Affairs in Washington.
Ball is returning stateside after completing a fellowship at the Pakistani National Defence University, with a previous assignment as deputy commander, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) based at Fort Bragg, N.C.
The host for this ceremony will be Maj. Gen. Darsie D. Rogers, commanding general, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) (Provisional).

Media should meet representatives from the 7th SFG(A) Public Affairs Office at 8 a.m. Thursday, June 18, at the Group Visitor's Center parking lot near the main gate. The media convoy will depart no later than 8:30 a.m.
