WASHINGTON (June 5, 2014) -- Today, the Army released the Army Equipment Program in support of President's Budget 2015 (AEP PB 15). This document details the Army's Research, Development and Acquisition (RDA) investments in 11 capability portfolio areas; highlights each portfolio's accomplishments over the last two years; and provides the Army's plan for FY 2015 equipment investments.

Additionally, AEP PB 15 links RDA investments to the broader Army strategy and describes specific modernization priorities and objectives; priority materiel programs; and the Army's science and technology program.

Although today's dynamic operational and fiscal environments may require adjustments if circumstances change, this plan provides a flexible, balanced framework for the Army to remain on track to equip a smaller force without sacrificing its decisive edge. The Army remains committed to ensuring affordability while providing the Nation with the best equipped, most modernized units capable of prevailing on any battlefield.
