
SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii -- Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 500th Military Intelligence Brigade, held a change of command ceremony, June 21.
During the ceremony, Capt. Jacob J. Clark received the company guidon from Lt. Col. Christopher J. Sweeney, deputy commander of the 500th MI Brigade, and assumed command of the company from the outgoing commander Capt. Kaine A. Meshkin.
Sweeney welcomed Clark and emphasized the importance of his new role as HHD commander.
"As the guidon is now passed to you, I challenge you with the care, training and nurturing of our Soldiers, as you continue to take the detachment to the next level," Sweeney said.
After taking command, Clark addressed the company as their new commander.
"To the Soldiers, civilians, and family members, I am extremely pleased to remain with the HHD team in this new role," Clark said. "I know that every challenge we overcome and every successful mission is due to your hard work and perseverance."
