YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- The Combined Forces Command's Provost Marshal Office hosted the Republic of Korea's Army Training and Doctrine Command staff here, April 12.
Brig. Gen. Kim, Byung-Tae Kim, deputy chief of doctrine for the ROK TRADOC, and his team were given an inside look of the capabilities of the 142nd Military Police Company, 501st Sustainment Brigade during the visit.
"It made me feel good to have an opportunity to give our counterparts an insight into what we do," said Staff Sgt. Gabriel Street, squad leader with 142rd Military Police Company of 501st Sustainment Brigade. "This is definitely a good way to build the ROK-U.S. alliance through understanding each other's resources and mission."
As part of the visit, Kim and his team got up close and personal during a K-9 demonstration with U.S. military dog handlers.
"It was definitely an honor to show off our abilities as a dog handler," said Pfc. Luke Sturges, a dog handler from 503rd Military Working Dog Detachment. "This was my first time doing a demonstration since I joined this team and I loved being able to show what we do."
Kim then was provided a walkthrough of the PMO with Ricky Oxendine, director of Emergency Services.
Kim ended his visit by thanking everyone who helped to make the trip a success.
"I really appreciate the visit and look forward to continuously strengthen the ROK-U.S. alliance," he said.
