Col. (P) Michael Dillard took the reins from Col. Rodney Faulk with family and friends in attendance.

Dillard, a native of Philadelphia, PA, comes to the 310th ESC from the 451st ESC, Wichita, Kansas where he was the Deputy Commander.

"Thank you so very much for coming and being a part of this most significant milestone of my life," he said to family, friends and cohorts during the ceremony.

Dillard also shared this important day with his daughter, as it was her 15th birthday.

Maj. Gen. Peter S. Lennon, 377th Theater Sustainment Command commander, presided over the ceremony and welcomed Col. (P) Dillard aboard.

"Col. Michael Dillard and his command team have my utmost confidence and faith and my commitment to support as you lead and train our Soldiers," he said.

Lennon listed numerous accomplishments of the 310th ESC from the successful realignment of commands, the handling of Super Storm Sandy, and becoming number one in the TSC to the supported mission of Unified Endeavour.

"That is a pretty good set of accomplishments on top of the day to day stuff that the 310th and its soldiers do, led by an outstanding commander," Lennon stated.

While Faulk leaves the 310th he will not leave the 377th. Lennon politely told him not to take his number off of speed dial.

Faulk told the 310th ESC, "Your dedication, drive and enthusiasm, teamwork and communication, creativity and innovation, HEART….it is what made me proud to be a part of this awesome winning team."

The former commander also thanked his family.

"I want to give a big thank you to Sue and John for allowing me to server over the years. I couldn't do what I do or spend any time in having fun with you (310th ESC) if it wasn't for their support."
