"Army Bands promote the Army and our national interests, enable commanders to shape the environment to accomplish their mission, and set the conditions that lead to trust and confidence in America’s Army and its readiness to conduct operations in peacetime, conflict, and war."
Organizations seeking musical support from the Army Music Program must submit a formal performance request for review. All requests—military or civilian—are evaluated to ensure they meet Department of the Army policies, do not compete with civilian musicians, and fall within the unit’s authorized mission and geographic area of responsibility.
Approved requests become official commitments. Commanders ensure all performances comply with Army standards for professionalism, conduct, uniform wear, and copyright requirements. Army Music units support official military functions, authorized public outreach events, and community engagements that reflect Army Values and uphold the Army’s public image.
To begin the process, please submit a Performance Request with complete event details so the unit can determine eligibility, availability, and regulatory compliance.
