Staff Sgt. Lisa Guile, U.S. Army School of Music drill sergeant, is nominated as a CASCOM Champion for her exceptional dedication, adaptability, and genuine care for Soldier development.

She consistently stepped into demanding roles without hesitation, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining high standards even under challenging circumstances. Her commitment to mentoring and supporting Advanced Individual Training Soldiers—both professionally and personally—set her apart as a leader who prioritizes readiness, growth, and well-being.

Beyond her technical proficiency, Guile’s compassion, initiative, and steady presence strengthened the entire team. She fostered resilience among Soldiers, supported her fellow cadre, and upheld the values of service by always placing the mission first.

Her leadership, integrity, and unwavering investment in others made her an indispensable part of the organization and a remarkable example of what right looks like.

The drill sergeant has been in the Army for eight years as a 42R Army Musician and plays the flute. She arrived at USASOM in November 2025 after being stationed with the bands at Joint Base San Antonio, Texas; U.S. Army Europe-Africa, Germany; and Fort Carson, Colorado.

Guile was nominated by 1st Sgt. Eric Ferreira, USASOM company first sergeant.
