FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Did you know that Womack Army Medical Center patients should use the on post pharmacies? Every time a patient uses a retail pharmacy (i.e. CVS or other retailer) they must pay a co-pay and it costs the government more money than if they used the free services at the on post pharmacies. Co-pays for prescriptions at network pharmacies vary from $5 to $25 dollars per prescription.
If you use the pharmacies on post, the medication is dispensed at no charge to you.
Army Medical Center TRICARE home delivery is your least expensive option when not using an military treatment facility pharmacy. With home delivery, you enjoy the convenience of having your medications delivered directly to your home.
Home delivery is best suited for medications you take on a regular basis. You may receive up to a 90-day supply of medications and in most cases there is no co-pay. There is a $9 co-pay for brand name medications and a $25 co-pay for non-formulary medications. Additionally, prescriptions are delivered to you with free standard shipping, and refills can be ordered easily online, by phone, or by mail. Home delivery also provides you with convenient notifications about your order status, refill reminders, and assistance in renewing expired prescriptions.
If you have questions about your prescriptions, pharmacists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to talk confidentially with you. It's safe, convenient and easy to use even when you're traveling on a temporary assignment or if you move.
Prescriptions may be mailed to any address in the United States and its territories, including temporary and APO/FPO addresses. If you are assigned to an embassy and do not have an APO/FPO address, you must use the embassy address. Prescriptions cannot be mailed to private foreign addresses. Refrigerated medications cannot be shipped to APO/FPO addresses.
We recommend that you use the mail order pharmacy for prescriptions you need on a regular basis. If you need immediate relief from a pain medication or antibiotic, you should have your prescription filled at a military pharmacy or retail network pharmacy.
If you are already having prescriptions filled at a TRICARE retail network pharmacy and you'd rather use the mail order pharmacy, you can quickly and easily convert your prescriptions to the mail order pharmacy in about 4 to 7 minutes.
