The MPLC is a lightweight; man-portable, rocket launched explosive line charge system designed to assist small tactical units in creating a footpath in urban and complex, mined or trip-wired environments; in covered or concealed.

The U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force, or REF, provides quick solutions to the
urgent needs of Soldiers who are deployed around the world. The Secretary of
the Army visited the REF's Fort Belvoir, VA headquarters on Jan. 15, 2013.
