REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - A U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command employee retired during a ceremony at the command's headquarters here Nov. 30 with 33 years of service.
Teri Mayo, chief, Civilian Workforce Development Branch, G-31, worked for SMDC for three years.
During the ceremony, Mayo was presented with a Meritorious Civilian Service Award, a certificate of appreciation, an American flag that was flown over the nation's capital, and a certificate of retirement and pin.
Col. Eric Handy, chief, G-31 Training and Exercise Division, presented Mayo's awards, Harold Deberry, senior workforce analyst, officiated the ceremony, and Chaplain (Col.) John Shedd offered the prayer.
