REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command commanding general hosted dual town halls at Redstone Arsenal and Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., back-to-back Oct. 9 and 10.

Awards presented during the town halls were:

The Achievement Medal for Civilian Service: Charlene Booth, Jose Carrington, Danny Cowell, Scott Jansen, Randy Threet.

Superior Civilian Service Award: Janie Montgomery.

Commander's Award for Civilian Service: Theresa Gopher, KC Bertling, Katrina Hale, Robert Strider, James Bush, Melva Tillar.

Length of Service awards: Terri Steele, 40 years; Thaddeus Brown, 30 years; Sharon DeLozier, 30 years; Randall Mills, 30 years; Shelia Noel, 30 years; Christina Ryan, 30 years.

Three-star note for Safety Day organization and preparation: Sam Bertling, JoAnna Brunson, Jim Edgecomb, Barbara Kennamer, David Crouch, Dana Henslee, Candace Holcomb, Bill Mull, Michael Mitchell, Don Severn.

Formica also acknowledge the achievements of several other employees: Harold DeBerry, who was inducted into the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps Hall of Fame; Donna Bowden, who was named the 2011 Department of the Army Accounting Award; the command's Sergeant Audie Murphy inductees; the command's Noncommissioned Officer, Soldier, and Civilians of the Year; and Sam and KC Bertling, who were named the Association of the U.S. Army-Huntsville's Volunteer Family of the Year.
