The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command said farewell to its inspector general during a retirement ceremony at Von Braun III May 4.
Col. Kevin Fagedes retired following 31 years of service.
During the ceremony, Fagedes was presented the Legion of Merit; a certificate of appreciation from President Obama; a three-star note from Lt. Gen. Richard P. Formica, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command commanding general; a U.S. flag; and the Noble Patron of Space award.
His family, including his wife and children, mother and father, aunt and uncle, and his siblings, as well as a number of former service members he has served with, attended the ceremony.
