Col. David E. Chesser, the second longest commander in Fort McCoy, Wis., history relinquishes command and engages his retirement with all the honors due to a leader who managed $281 million dollars worth of improvements at the post ranging from infrastructure to training support updating World War II facilities. Chesser's replacement is Wisconsin native and fellow infantry officer, Col. Steven W. Nott, who brings nearly 26 years experience to the installation.
