ASA(ALT)'s PMILDEP LTG William "Bill" Phillips attended NASCAR's Hometown Heroes race as the Senior Military Official this past weekend in Talladega. LTG Phillips spoke to a packed stadium of race fans about serving in the world's best military organization. He spoke about what it means to be mentally, emotionally and physically strong -- Army Strong. As an honored Senior Military Official his speech provided important insight to youth of today about what it means to be a dedicated Soldier and a leader.

The mission of Army leader development is to educate, train, and provide experiences to progressively develop leaders to prevail in full-spectrum operations in a 21st Century security environment and to lead the Army.
