The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association recognized Staff Sgt. Andrew B. Brown, 1st Space Batallion, with the Patriot Award, recognizing outstanding service men and women from all parts and services in the Colorado Springs area.

Brown was given the award at the 28th Annual Rocky Mountain ball held on Sept. 23 in Colorado Springs. Brown is the Noncommissioned officer of the year for United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command, and was selected for the Patriot award based on his exemplorary service to the command.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the NDIA is know for its focus on military space activities.
