Eleven graduate from Quality Assurance Intern Program

FORT DIX, N.J. -- Eleven quality assurance specialists graduated from the Army Contracting Command’s Quality Assurance Intern Program here July 28.

The six-month program, which started in 2009, instructs quality assurance specialists in defense acquisition and contract oversight. Students receive instruction in theory as well as hands-on practical instruction.

Graduates were: LaTorsha Bennett, 414th Contracting Support Brigade, Vienza, Italy; James Cooper, 410th CSB, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Kenneth Knight, 414th CSB; Pyong Lee, 411th CSB, Yongson, South Korea; Gervai Maeweathers, 413th CSB, Fort Shafter, Hawaii; Jeanette Murphy, 411th CSB, Seoul, South Korea; Jose Ruano, 410th CSB; Amparo Sherrill, 409th CSB, Kaiserslautern, Germany; Mary Smith, honor graduate, 409th CSB; Stephen Turkovich, 413th CSB; and John Workman, 409th CSB.

The program is a critical element supporting ACC’s strategic priority of growing and developing a professional civilian and military workforce. Graduates were awarded a Level 1 Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certification.
