NINH BINH PROVINCE, Vietnam - Personnel from 18th Medical Command (Deployment Support) and Pacific Regional Medical Command and Tripler Army Medical Center participated in the third Vietnam Bilateral Military Medical Outreach July 7-18. They conducted Medical First Responder training, and subject matter expert exchange with Vietnamese Armed Forces personnel in order to enhance host country medical proficiency and further contribute to their medical readiness.
During this time framed 3204 patients were seen at the two village sites. Local vendors provided medical logistical support/supplies to the MEDCAP team.
Both countries provided medical care providers to participate in the Bilateral Military Medical Outreach portion of the event. This event helps fosters a positive relationship with Vietnam and provides an opportunity for medical training within the United States Army.
