FORT LEE, Va. - More than 3,000 military and civilian personnel from the Quartermaster School came together to celebrate the 236th Quartermaster Corps Birthday with a motivational run here, June 16. The event started at Williams Stadium and was led by Brig. Gen. Gwen Bingham, 51st Quartermaster General. The Quartermaster Corps, originally designated the Quartermaster Department, was established on June 16, 1775. Since that time, quartermasters have served in every major campaign throughout the nation’s history.
