FORT BRAGG, N.C. (May 25, 2011)--Maj. Gen. Mark Graham, Army Forces Command’s deputy chief of staff, G3/5/7, spent Tuesday, May 24, receiving on-the-ground updates regarding the preparations for the FORSCOM move here this summer in accordance with the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure legislation. His stops included the FORSCOM Operations Center, the temporary work areas at the Eagle Base Forward complex, and the new FORSCOM headquarters building. While noting that there’s still work to be done to accomplish the transition, Graham said he was pleased with the progress that has been made. In particular, he complimented the FORSCOM Operations Center (Forward) on the excellent job it has done since assuming the lead from the FOC at FORSCOM’s current home in Fort McPherson, Ga., on April 1. “That, of course, is the way it’s supposed to work,” he said. “And it’s great to see that that’s how it has worked, so seamlessly and transparently that no one noticed the switch.”
